Our client installed a brand new telephone system across 250 users. Reporting was essential to allow them to understand how calls were being dealt with; why calls were not being answered and to ensure they had the correct number of staff in various areas at different time of the working day.

Their system came with a reporting tool however for each user to have access to this tool would mean that a licence cost of £1,250 per user would be required from the telephone supplier.

How could Rubix Technology help ?

Although the phone system reporting tool was good, understandably our client did not want to incur additional hefty licence costs to provide access to more users.

We realised that by connecting directly to the phone system database we could provide a stream of phone data directly into a custom built data warehouse. We designed a data warehouse in SQL for this purpose and configured a data stream.

We configured the data in such a way that the phone information also tied back to our clients case management software.

Using reporting tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, which our client already had, we designed custom reports to allow our clients entire user base to access any of the reports at any time without any additional cost.
